Employer Compliance:

AcciWork will assist you in meeting your COIDA obligations and ensure full compliance.

Workplace Injury Management:

In the event of a workplace accident, we provide full support for your employee’s medical care, where needed, and ensure that their individual case is managed by a service provider, up to full recovery.

  • AcciSure will provide assistance with registering the incident
  • Our team will provide support 24/7 for individual case management.
  • Ensure employees have access to a private medical care network.
  • Manage your employees’ claims to ensure that you are reimbursed for all income you paid during their medical treatment and also ensure that employee and their dependents receive all benefits payable to them in terms of the Act.

Claims Management:

We assist with the end-to-end management of Injury on Duty and Occupational Diseases Claims, on behalf of Employers.

  • Reporting injured employees and Occupational Diseases claims to the Compensation Fund, RMA, or FEM.
  • Arranging for Injured employees to receive medical treatment.
  • Ensure that injured employees receive appropriate medical treatment at suitable facilities.
  • Ensuring that all required documents from the employer and Medical Service Providers are completed and submitted in the required format.
  • Ensuring that Employers are reimbursed for Temporary Total Disablement payments (Income replacement) paid to injured employees from the Compensation Fund, RMA or FEM.
  • Ensuring that injured employees receive all the benefits to which they are entitled in terms of the COID Act.
  • Ensuring that injured employees or their dependents receive their correct compensation for permanent disablement i.e. Lump Sum or Monthly Pension.
  • Tracing, completion, and submission of documents for the spouse/s and children, to ensure that they receive the death benefits as dictated by COIDA.
  • Ensuring that employees are properly rehabilitated, reskilled and socially integrated following the Occupational Injury or Disease.

Case Management:

At AcciSure we assist with assessing and adjudicating treatment requested for all injuries and diseases in medical facilities which include:

  • Liaising with hospital case managers for updates on treatment, procedures, and cost management.
  • Monitoring high risk high-cost acute claims, reviewing treatment plans, assessments, and medical reports.
  • Adjudicating requests for medical treatment and facilitating pre-authorisation through the relevant Administrator.
  • MMI (Maximum medical improvement), support to claims employee; facilitating interdisciplinary approaches; arranging for rehabilitation and re-skilling.
  • Reviewing and confirming ICD10 codes from medical reports and updates.
  • Liaise with MSPs, employers and employees when required.

Rehabilitation and Re-skilling:

We assist with the rehabilitation and re-skilling for Injuries on duty and occupational diseases from life-changing to return to work based on the nature of injury or disease.

The rehabilitation programme includes:

  • The arranging of rehabilitation, assessment, and authorisation for the continuation of management and care when returning to work.
  • Monitoring the injured employees’ return-to-work journey, obtaining multidisciplinary reports, liaising with the rehabilitation team and communicating with employers.
  • Obtaining resumption and final medical reports following discharge for further claims adjudication and permanent disablement assessment.
  • Liaising with MSPs, employers and employees when required.
